My affiliate marketing story:

It isn't very often that I become excited about something in my life - after all I've been around for more years than most people reading my articles and have literally been there, done that and have the tee shirt to prove it.

Over the past few years I've managed to master most methods of making online income with one glaring exception: Affiliate marketing has been the thorn in my side for so long that I almost gave up and left it to others to make the profits.

As a businessman with so much experience behind me it hurt because I hate not being able to master any project I set my mind to. After all isn't affiliate marketing supposed to be the easy thing to succeed in?

- Don't you just start an affiliate account, send people to the site and sit back and watch the sales multiply?

- Or is your success record similar to mine where you spend $20 to send somebody to a site and they buy a $19 item which pays me about $14.50?

To be perfectly honest about my affiliate marketing story I guess I've made less than a hundred dollars over the past five-years.

Like many peers I started doubting my ability and thinking: "Maybe this isn't for me." It proved to be an embarrassing situation because I hadn't failed at anything before in my life and now I was failing at what appeared to be a simple process. Naturally in the early years it was the fault of everybody else - not me. It took almost three years of failure before I admitted to the fact that it was me; because:

- I was picking the wrong products.

- Taking the wrong advice.

- Failing to stand back and treat it as a business - it had become personal.

- I didn't have a business plan other than the fact that I was going to sell other peoples products online for a commission.

I could list a hundred other reasons but I know you get the picture now so I'm putting all of the bad news to bed now and we'll concentrate on what turned me around.

Just as I was about to give it all up, go hide and lick my wounds my affiliate marketing story suddenly change. I received an email from a friend telling me to try commission blueprint because not only is it a good product it has the most fantastic video training to go with it. This immediately interested me because I'm a lousy learner if all they give me is written instructions.

That was two weeks ago and already my affiliate marketing story has changed dramatically and I have made $1,183 in just over a week. This is just a start and I know that the formula I now have is going to change my affiliate marketing story and my life forever more.
